I don't suppose you'll tell me who you're workin' for?

Eric Humble heads the project as writer-director. A graduate from DeSales University with a bachelor's degree in TV/Film, and minors in Business and Professional Communications, Humble has already graced the film scene as the producer/writer/director of four short films—The Camp (2002), Invisible (2002), The Hideaway (2002), and The Book of the Dead (2003). In addition, he has had an original play produced, has acted, directed, and stage managed numerous plays for Upper Darby Summer Stage, and is the author of many short stories.

His unique, methodical approach to the craft of filmmaking, skill in the graphic arts (he does his own extensive storyboarding by hand), and knowledge of world film, literature, and art separate him from most of his contemporaries. He believes the purpose of film is to enchant and entertain in a responsible manner while illuminating truths about who we are as human beings, how we got here, and where we're going. His work has been called "poetic," "dark and magical," "excitingly visceral," and "refreshingly complex for these increasingly complex times."

Chris Manley shoulders the project as producer and editor. A fellow graduate of DeSales University, also with a bachelor's degree in TV/Film, and boasting an impressive resume of film credits as producer, director, and editor (including the ambitious music-video compilation, The Coup d'Grace [2003]), Manley has established himself as an emerging talent in the Tri-State film and media community. His analytical skill and storyteller's sense of detail have distinguished him as one of the strongest young editors working in the Philadelphia area. His experience in the industry lends a professional's touch to the challenging task of managing an independent film production.

He and Humble have collaborated on numerous projects throughout their tenure in the DSU film program and have now launched their own production company, Prelude Productions, with the ambitious goal of producing two feature films in the coming months. This first project will be the DV feature The Tell, and following it will come the 35mm feature, Hush, a murky suspense picture that takes as its subject the thin intersection of sex and violence.
